What am I currently using and why...
My most favorite diaper is the Happy Heiny's One Size Diaper. This is always my first choice. I have been using them on my 'lil babe since she was 6 months. She is 1 year now (boo-hoo) and they're still working great. Why do I love 'em? They're super soft on the inside next to her buns. The fleece keeps her buns fairly dry even when she's completely soaked. The one size fits her well - she is an average little gal and we're using the 2nd setting (there are 4 settings to accommodate tiny through toddler). And I rarely have leaks. I love how soft and cuddly they are. They've got aplix closures, but it doesn't bother me, I feel I can get a better fit. I use the two inserts that come with it for both day and night and it works great. I also love the colors it comes in. I'm confident she will be in these dipes for another year or two. She has plenty of room to grow.

The next dipe I pick is the DryBees PUL pocket. They use microsuede as the inner next to the skin, not as soft, but I love it for another reason - purely selfish. The back side of the suede in slick so when you go to stuff the dipe it slips right in and doesn't get hung up on the back of the fleece that other pocket dipes have. I love the fun prints they offer and I rarely have leaks in these too. My 1 year old (newly 1 in April 08) still fits in a medium and probably will for awhile.

The last dipe I have in my stash is the bumGenius AIO dipe. I use these during the day when she's up. They're quick and easy to put on and I don't have to stuff them. I'm not sure what version they are, but they work great. I don't use these for naps or night time because a thicker insert won't fit inside. It would have to be laid inside and there's not enough room, at least the ones that I like to use don't. But, they work great for when she's not sleeping. These are also great when grandma is over or my babe's with a sitter. They're VERY close to a disposable in use.
